Import Records from a saved configuration

This article describes how to import Records from a custom, saved import configuration.

If you have been granted the “Manage import configurations” permission, then you can create and use already existing custom import processes.

To import data using a custom import configuration, follow these steps:

  1. Check if you meet the prerequisites:
  • Have an ActivityInfo account
  • Access to Form the source Form
  • “Add Records” permission
  • “Manage import configurations” permission
  1. Log in to your ActivityInfo account.
  2. Navigate to the Table view of the Form you are importing Records to.
  3. Select the “Import” tool from the Toolbar.
  1. Click “From saved configuration.”
  1. Select the custom configuration you wish to use for this particular import and wait for the data to load.
  1. Match columns and validate the Fields by clicking through each highlighted column to resolve the issues. For more information, see Troubleshooting importer-related issues.
In this step, you can use filters to limit the data you want to import. If you make modifications to the custom import configuration, you can save your own changes in step 9.

Filtering is not available on Multiple reference field values and unmapped Fields. Target Field mapping is not supported.

Tip: You can set up a hidden Field with a default value in your Form to enable filtering on the unmapped source Field. This way the unmapped Field becomes a mapped Field.

  1. After resolving the inconsistencies, click “Continue” in the upper right corner.

  2. Review the “Import summary” overview and select one of the following options:

  3. You can abort the import process by clicking “Cancel”

  4. Import records without saving changes to saved configurations

  5. Import records and save changes to saved configurations

  6. Click “Import records” in the upper right corner and wait for the updates to load.
