This article is a reference for what kind of Android and iOS devices are supported in using ActivityInfo.
As with any app, you should be aware that ActivityInfo uses the memory of the mobile device, therefore here are some recommendations for you to keep in mind:
- Operating system: Android 9 or later. As the ActivityInfo app can be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA), which runs smoother on Android 9 or later devices.
For more information, see Check & update your Android version (external link). - At least 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage should be able to handle background processes and offline database files.
- For iOS devices, the recommended mobile operating system is iOS 12 and onwards. The latest iOS version that still gets updates and security patches is iOS 17.
We do not recommend running the app on the following types of devices:
- Android 7 devices with 2GB of RAM, as there is a possibility that devices of that caliber cannot run the ActivityInfo app at all.
- Any Samsung low spec tablet device with 2GB of RAM, especially if the intended purpose of the data collection is to use the web interface.
