This article describes how to set up a connection between ActivityInfo and Power Automate.
Setting up a Connection with ActivityInfo
Follow these steps to connect ActivityInfo to Power Automate:
Log in to Power Automate.
On the left side panel, select “… More”
- Click “Connections.”
- Click “Create a connection”
- In the search bar, type in “ActivityInfo” and click on the ActivityInfo icon.
If you do not see the ActivityInfo connector here, scroll down to the Setting up a Custom connector section of this article.
- You are prompted to add an API Key. In a separate tab, open ActivityInfo.
- Log in to your ActivityInfo account.
- Click on the user profile and select “Account settings.”
- Select “API tokens” on the left navigation panel.
- Click “Add.”
- Name the token by filling in the Label field. It is good practice to name each application and device combination with a unique label to ensure you know which one to remove when finished with the application.
- Choose the scope of the token by selecting “Read&Write.”
A token can only limit actions in your account, therefore if you do not have the permission to edit records in a Form, then a token with a “Read & write” scope in your account does not allow an external application to edit Records either.
- Click “Generate.”
- Copy the API token by clicking “Copy to clipboard.” Once you leave this page, you are no longer able to see or copy the token!
We strongly recommend that you copy and paste the API token into a note or file.
- Navigate back to the Power Automate website, and insert the API token.
- Wait for the connection to set up.
Setting up a Custom Connector
If you don’t see the ActivityInfo icon in the “Connections” page, then add ActivityInfo as a Custom connector following these steps:
- Click “… More” on the left side panel and select “Discover all.”
- Find “Custom connectors” and click it.
- Click “ + New custom connector” and select “Import from Github” from the dropdown menu.
- Fill out the pop-up window accordingly:
- Choose “Certified” as the Connector Type.
- For “Branch”, choose “dev.”
- Under “Connector” select ActivityInfo from the dropdown list.
- Name the Custom connector and click “Create connector.”
- Wait for the connection to set up.
Success, you’ve set up a connection between ActivityInfo and Power Automate.
